Cymbals
I play and endorse Paiste Cymbals.
For my main set, I use:

With my small jazz set, I use:
- 14" Formula 602 Sound Edge Hi-hats
- 16" Formula 602 Thin Crash
- 20" Formula 602 Medium Ride

With my Yamaha set, I use:
- 14" Giant Beat Hi-hats
- 18" Giant Beat Multi
- 20" Giant Beat Multi
Drums
In the past, I have owned and played drums made by Slingerland, Pearl, Gretsch, Tama and Yamaha.
I am currently playing Gretsch USA Custom drums in Dark Walnut Gloss Lacquer finish,
and a Yamaha set from the 70s in Natural Maple finish.
The sizes are:
- 12" x 8" mounted tom
- 13" x 9" mounted tom
- 14" x 14" floor tom
- 22" x 16" bass drum
My snare drums are:
- 14" x 6.5" 20 split-lug Gretsch USA Custom snare drum in Dark Walnut Lacquer
- 14" x 6.5" Ludwig Chrome over Brass with tube lugs
- 14" x 5" Ludwig Hand-Hammered Bronze with imperial lugs
I use Yamaha hi-hat and bass drum pedals as well as cymbal stands.
Heads
On all my drums, I use Remo heads.
Clear or
Coated Ambassadors, or
Clear or
Coated Controlled Sound, or White Suede Ambassadors.
Sticks
I play Vic Firth Amercian Classic 2B sticks, brushes and Timpani mallets.
Recording
I record with the BOSS BR-1600 Digital Recording Studio which is a stand-alone
hard-drive recorder with built-in CD writer etc. Quite nice, and extremely portable. I use a mixture of Shure,
Audix and Behringer microphones as well as
Sennheiser headphones.
