A Bit About Me

Music

I began drumming at the age of 13. Primarily self-taught, I was lucky enough to briefly study with the following greats:

David Kent (Toronto Symphony Orchestra)
Paul DeLong (David Bendeth, Kim Mitchell, The Code)
Vito Rezza (Five After Four)
Mark Craney (Gino Vannelli, Jethro Tull)
Chad Wackerman (Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth)

My own studies consisted of working out of the standard books, such as "Syncopation" and "Stick Control", as well as more recent classics like Gary Chaffee's series of books. I found the study of polyrhythms and meter very interesting and Gary's books are the cream of the crop in that area.
